Brand New to Belly Dance Series
This 7-class, beginning series is an introduction to belly dance! Henna gives you the basic building blocks of dance, starting off nice and easy for the absolute beginner. You'll learn how to move your hips, undulate, and you'll get a fun combo at the end to put everything together. Have fun!
Intro to Datura Style
In this 4-class series, Rachel breaks down technique for Datura style and details the style's development from the time it came to the US from Egypt. This series was made with beginners and teachers in mind: The fundamentals are suitable for any level, and the anatomical and lineage references were created so you can to revisit and reinforce the anatomy and biomechanics info for teaching purposes.
Intro to Raqs Sharqi (Egyptian) Dance
This 4-week program is designed to introduce you to Raqs Sharqi technique. This program breaks down the technique of Egyptian belly dance and includes basic shapes, hip movements, and steps. Each week is broken into three sessions, which means three days of practice per week. Sessions include a warm up, dance section, and a cool down and are 30 to 45 minutes in length.
Intro to Fusion Belly Dance Program
This 4-week program is designed to introduce you to Fusion belly dance and a few of its influences. Fusion belly dance can be a combination of Raqs Sharqi (classic Egyptian belly dance) with FCBD® Style, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Gothic, Flamenco, Modern, Ballet, and many other styles.
