This will definitely give you a workout! Unless you are in REALLY GOOD SHAPE, you will be sweating by the end. Which isn't a bad thing. It's just a sweaty thing!
Another thing I should probably say right off is that this particular video doesn't have a warm up, and you will want to make sure you warm up. Warm ups bug me, but my old bod was super glad I did one before I started practicing.
I recently started taking Unmata/Hot Pot ITS, & I really like it. It doesn't have a traditional feel to it, which I do love in Belly Dance, but ITS can be adapted to pretty much any kind of music. I like to dance in clubs when I can, so I find this really appealing. And even though I have trouble keeping up with the fast, improvisational nature of it, I find it fun and dynamic. Maybe you will too!
As for more about this video, I'm not super coordinated and I'm usually the last person in any class to catch on to anything new, but I was (mostly) able to follow along. Toward the end it probably wasn't pretty, but I could do it! Amy's explanations are very clear, and her style of teaching is direct and interesting. Cari is super cool to watch too-- I like being able to see both her and Amy, because sometimes dance looks a little different on different people.
I hope I keep practicing and can totally keep up some day!
