This challenging 4 week program is packed with conditioning for the advanced dancer, or the ambitious intermediate, looking to give a serious boost to their technique and stamina. Not for the faint of heart, you better be ready to ride the Crazy Train. Fitness and fun...full speed ahead!

This program features five, yes five, sessions of mix and match Datura Online classes per week. Feel free to shift it around to whichever five days work best for your schedule. Each of these DO sessions will run between 1.5 and 2 hours.

This program is designed to build muscle and endurance alongside technique. You will be working with some classes, like Ashley Lopez’s “Built for Belly Dance series”, multiple times to build healthy patterns and really get the maximum benefit from the training. You’ll also get a great array of combos that are different each session.

The entire program was designed to be a tune-up tool in a dancer’s training kit, repeated over time whenever you need a boost. So if you love this program and you feel incredible when you use it, by all means, start over at the beginning when you're done!

Have a water bottle, yoga mat, yoga blocks, yoga strap, some small weights, a big smile, fist full of energy, and a towel to wipe away that sweat!

Three cheers for week 3! Get ready to step it up a notch with Ashley’s insane cardio class: Heart Throb. (This is called "crazy train" right?!) Zoe will help you layer it on thick, you'll learn the Hagallah and Overshimmy combos with Rachel, and learn to shoulder shimmy like a pro with Sedona. In this week, you'll unlock the keys of some elusive techniques with Zoe, and later in the week you’ll get to do some belly dance tongue twisters with Ashley’s Layercake class. All the while you'll stay strong with her “Built” series. Yip!

Heart Throb: Cardio Conditioning + Belly Dance Drills

Get ready to get your heart rate up and have some fun in this challenging cardio class. Class is divided into two parts, beginning to intermediate dance drills with mini combos, sandwiched between short bursts of more traditional fitness conditioning.

Hip Skillz: Layering Hipwork, Arms, and Footwork

This belly dance flow drills class will focus on layering muscular hip work with arm patterns and footwork. Zoe Jakes has created a format that teaches complex layering in a concise and clear way, and that is geared towards intermediate and advanced dancers of all styles. A yoga warm-up is strongly recommended before taking this class.

Cool Down

This brief cool down is wonderful to do after an extended shimmy session or any vigorous belly dance practice. This spotlight is from Sedona's American Cabaret style workshop: "Super Shimmies & Shimmy Layers".

Built: Upper Body Conditioning Workshop

This workshop is a 3-part workout focusing on the upper body. Class will begin with a 20-minute segment focusing on upper body strengthening, followed by a 20-minute dance drill segment using upper body isolations and movements, and ending with a 20-minute upper body flexibility stretching segment.

The Hagallah Combo

An up-tempo combination with a lot of changes, the Hagallah combo gives both your brain and body a bit of work. In addition to the Hagallah, enjoy the Arabic Shimmy, optional level changes, and a few surprising transitions.

Cool Down and Stretch

Spins, Flutters, and Belly Rolls: Belly Dance Flow Fundamentals

This three part workshop will focus on spins, flutters, and belly rolls that are used in Zoe's belly dance flow series and are applicable for belly dance technique. Each of these dance components will be broken down and explained clearly, allowing for dancers of all levels to gain a greater understanding of these elusive concepts.

Cool Down

Week 3, Session 4 : Playlist (1:54:22)

Learn Belly Dance

Built: Torso Conditioning Workshop

This workshop is a 3-part workout focusing on the torso. Class will begin with a Pilates and fitness routine designed to strengthen the major muscles of the trunk of the body: the upper and lower back, abdominals, and pectorals. Part two of this class is a 20-minute drill sequence focusing on movements of the torso. Part three focuses on spinal flexibility, side bends, and twists to increase flexibility and range of motion in the torso.

Shoulder Shimmy & Shoulder Shimmy Layers

In this class we will break down and drill the technique for lovely, loose shoulder shimmies standard to Cabaret style belly dance. Once we have a nice, strong shoulder shimmy we will begin to layer them with different step patterns, level changes, and chest isolations. This spotlight is from Sedona's "Super Shimmies & Shimmy Layers" workshop.

Overshimmy Combo

This short but hip-work packed combination focuses on 3/4 shimmies, hip-work on the down, hip bumps, posture, and simple arm placement. It is high energy and can be used in your combinations or choreographies.

Yoga for Lateral Bending

A short but fairly intense lateral bending practice for flexibility which includes the rib cage and sides of the body. This practice is especially useful for dancers working on Sidewinder, Side to Side Undulations, or any belly dance movements that work with the side ribs.

Week 3, Session 5 : Playlist (2:01:45)

Learn Belly Dance

Built: Lower Body Conditioning Workshop

This workshop is a 3-part-power-packed belly dance, yoga, and fitness workout focusing on the lower body. Class will begin with a yoga and fitness routine for strengthening, then we will proceed to belly dance drills and a combo that focus on the legs and hips. The workshop will conclude with a yoga and stretching segment to increase flexibility and range of motion in the lower body.

Layercake: Crazy Delicious Layering

This workshop is a study in combining basic movements together to create clear, distinct layers of simultaneous movement. We will address layering a variety of basic upper body movements with a variety of basic lower body movements. This class is targeted toward the dancer who is beyond beginner and is ready to move into more complex multi-tasking territory.
